Echoes of a Hero’s Legacy: A poem about George Floyd

From the ashes of tragedy, hope did rise, a spark was lit, by George Floyd’s life. A call to action, a cry for change, for a world where all can live free, not in chains.

The movement he sparked, it spreads like a flame, illuminating the darkness, and banishing shame. For systemic racism, the time has come, to be eradicated, to be undone.

But we won’t do it alone, hand in hand, we’ll stand together, in this noble stand. For justice and equality, for peace and love, a world where all are valued, from the heavens above.

So let us rise, and be the change we seek, with every step we take, let us be strong and meek. For George Floyd’s legacy, it lives on in us, A shining example, of what courage does.

So let us honor him, with every step we take, In pursuit of justice, for every soul at stake. And let us never forget, the gift he gave, A world where all are equal, where love prevails.
