My Bolivia- A Poem

I miss the mountains, that reach to the sky, the beauty of Bolivia, where my heart longs to lie. I miss the laughter, and the music so sweet, the memories of home, that I can’t help but repeat.

I miss the markets, with vendors shouting loud, the vibrant colors, that make me feel proud. I miss the dances, with movements so free, the spirit of my homeland, that is always with me.

But now I am here, in a land so new, with different customs, and a language I struggle to do. I am an immigrant, in search of a better life, but I miss my homeland, and the family I left behind.

The distance is great, but my heart is near, Filled with the love, that I hold so dear. I know that Bolivia, is always with me, in my thoughts and my dreams, where it will always be.

And though I am far, i’ll never forget, the love that I have, for the land I met. Bolivia is my foundation, my rock, and I will do anything, to return, when I’ve won.

So here I am, in this new and strange place, With a longing in my heart, and a smile on my face. For I know that one day, I’ll return to my home, and I’ll bask in the beauty, that is forever my own.
